ABOUT THE PROJECT

Raporal reinforces its energy transition with a new rooftop Photovoltaic project in Montijo, Portugal.

There are a total of 3,636 photovoltaic panels that make up the recent Helexia project on Raporal’s rooftop. This power plant produces 1,509 MWh of solar energy annually and covers 18% of the energy needs of the factory. Raporal becomes now more sustainable by reducing 679 tons of CO2 per year.

Raporal was created by an 18 pig farmers group, who believed that they could do more and better for the sector, especially in terms of food production to feed their animals. This group created Raporal, S.A, in 1971. Its mission is to ensure the irreproachable quality of each product produced and represented by its brands.
